Logo design

Logo Design

Adobe Illustrator

In order to create my logo I first started off with a blank canvas. I then used the ellipse tool to create three identically sized circles and three straight lines at different angles. I then placed them together so the shape resembled my logo design. I then used the eclipse tool again to create 3 more circles and placed them above and in between the circles I had placed earlier. After this stage I selected the shape builder tool and selected all the negative space within the shapes I had just placed and effectively created a new shape. It was a bit temperamental though as the points of all the shapes had to be exactly lined up so that the shape builder tool would work. If the shaped were slightly misaligned  I used the pen tool to select the points nearest and just slightly move them so they were properly connected. Once the general shape was created i then added a blue colour that i thought fit in with my space theme and added some effects on the logo like bevel, drop shadow and dissolved edges.

That is how I created my logo and i think it looks nice next to my title on my game insert.

Premiere - Game trailer

Game Trailer

Adobe Premiere

To start my game trailer project I opened Adobe Premiere on the PC. I then created a new project and named it appropriately. As I was starting off with a blank canvas here I referred to my ideas at the start.
At this stage I created a bin folder so that I could import my video files into and keep them organised.
The footage I chose to use was some in-game footage from both Star Citizen and Counter Strike as well as the Star Wars trailer. I opened the bin folder and Right clicked the mouse button and found the menu item 'import', then navigated to the file I wanted to use then pressed okay so that it loaded into my project.
For this stage I went though the footage that i had imported and selected the specific frames that i needed. I then clicked and dragged the scenes onto my timeline. I then repeated this stage with all my footage til I got a trailer that i thought was acceptable.
for the last stage I merged the scenes together that i used and then added transition effects to my trailer. I think I did do pretty well but I needed to add some scrolling text and some other effects to the footage.
